Usually we think that when are happy, we tend to smile/laugh… But do you know that
When we smile or laugh we start feeling happy….
How?….
Smiling and laughing initiates many hormones related to our feeling of well-being, eg.,
Dopamine (pleasure and reward), serotonin (mood balance). Also when you laugh heartily, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine.
